Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride, or NADH or coenzyme 1 for short, is the biologically active form of vitamin B3 (niacin). In our bodies, NADH acts as a biological spark plug for numerous metabolic processes by enabling the normal progression of chemical reactions. For example, it integrates hydrogen into the respiratory chain and plays a role in energy-forming processes in our body cells.

Due to its unique properties, NADH is highly unstable with regard to light and oxygen. Therefore, we make use of an especially stabilised NADH to retain its efficacy.
